At SC Labs, we help streamline the testing process, bridging the gap between quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) and regulatory compliance. Driven by customer-centric innovation, our suite of solutions provides critical tools to cultivate, manufacture, and distribute cannabis products.
What can we test?
SC Labs can test cannabis flowers, concentrates, leaves, e-liquids/vape oils, crystallized isolates, as well as liquid and solid infused products such as coconut oils, tinctures, and edibles. Don’t forget about your inputs! We test beeswax, rolling papers, chocolate, food additives, terpenes, environmental inputs like soil, and more.
If you need a product tested that doesn’t fall within this list, contact us. It’s likely that we can test that too! Looking for hemp testing? Check out our Hemp/CBD Testing Menu instead.

Additional Resources
Cannabinoid Analysis
SC Labs continually adds analytes to our cannabinoid panel to meet state requirements. The assays are performed on high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detection (HPLC-DAD). Results are calculated using dry weight. Total THC and Total CBD are calculated on our certificates and are both corrected for decarboxylation.
Terpenes Analysis
SC Labs analyzes 39 of the most prominent terpenes that give cannabis and hemp their unique scent and effect. Learn about Terpene Analysis.
Terpenes Test Panel
Reports 39 analytes in California.
Pesticide Analysis
SC Labs’ pesticide and plant growth regulator analysis utilizes high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) or gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Learn about Pesticide Testing.
Specialty Panels
New California Select Pesticides Test Panel (aka Cat 4)
Reports 11 harmful pesticide analytes beyond California cannabis regulations (DCC1).
California Compliance
Standard Pesticides Test Panel – California
Reports 66 analytes per California cannabis regulations (DCC1).
R&D and Quality Assurance
Comprehensive Pesticides Test Panel – National Hemp
Reports 105 analytes. Meets national hemp testing standards (participating states).2
California Select Pesticides Test Panel (aka Cat 4)
See analytes list.
Basic Pesticides Test Panel
Reports the 18 analytes most commonly detected in cannabis and hemp.
MICRO EXTRACTION PROCESS | Add-on
Learn about Pesticide Microextraction Analysis.
Micro Extraction Add-on
SC Labs’ micro extraction process is an additional preparation step by which flower material is concentrated in the laboratory. The resulting concentrate analysis then utilizes high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to screen for pesticide compounds.
Residual Solvent / Processing Chemicals Analysis
SC Labs’ residual solvent analysis utilizes gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Learn about Residual Solvent Analysis.
California Compliance
Standard Residual Solvents Test Panel – California
Reports the 20 analytes per California cannabis regulations (DCC).
R&D and Quality Assurance
Comprehensive Residual Solvents Test Panel – National Hemp
Reports 64 analytes. Meets national hemp testing standards (participating states)2
California Compliance
Standard Heavy Metals Test Panel – California & Colorado
Reports 4 analytes per California cannabis regulations (DCC) as well as Colorado cannabis regulations (CDPHE).
R&D and Quality Assurance
New Expanded Metals & Trace Elements Test Panel
Reports 14 analytes that may represent soil or manufacturing impurities.
Microbiological Contaminant Analysis
Analysis is conducted either by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and fluorescence detection of microbiological contaminants or by plating using 3M™ Petrifilm™ and plate counts of microbiological contaminants. Learn about Microbial Impurity Testing.
Various bundled panel options were developed to target a comprehensive list of organisms, address state compliance rules, and meet guidelines established by the USP4, AHPA5, AHP6, DCC, or ORELAP7.
California Compliance
Inhalable Microbiological Contaminants Test Panel – CA Compliance
PCR test method. Reports 6 organisms following California cannabis regulations (DCC) for inhalable products.
Non-Inhalable Microbiological Contaminants Test Panel – CA Compliance
PCR test method. Reports 2 organisms following California cannabis regulations (DCC) for non-inhalable products.
R&D and Quality Assurance
Comprehensive Microbiological Contaminants Test Panel – National Hemp
PCR and Plating test methods. Reports 18 organisms. Meets national hemp testing standards (participating states).2
Expanded Microbiological Contaminants Test Panel
PCR and Plating test methods. Reports 14 organisms. Expanded panel ideal for stringent product safety and quality testing requirements.
Standard Microbiological Contaminants Test Panel
