We are thrilled to announce that our Santa Cruz laboratory facility has been granted ISO accreditation for its cannabinoid panel! ISO / IEC 17025:2005 is considered to be the gold standard accreditation for calibration and testing laboratories around the world across multiple disciplines. Laboratories that are accredited to this international standard have demonstrated technical competence and the ability to produce accurate, precise data.
“We are thrilled to announce our ISO accreditation as this is one of our most important achievements over the past seven years of serving the cannabis industry and demonstrates our commitment to serving our clients with integrity,” said SC Labs co-founder and CEO Jeff Gray. “Being accredited to this International Standard demonstrates our robust quality system, technical competence, the calibration and suitability of our instrumentation and our ability to produce precise and accurate test data. It enhances our client’s confidence in our services and their choice in a business partner while providing them with additional legal defensibility in complying with upcoming regulations, and enhancing the integrity of their products based on SC Labs results.”
Cannabis is an emerging industry in the U.S. that is expected to generate close to $7 Billion in sales in 2017. Many states, however, are still scrambling to implement practical safety regulations and standards.
SC Laboratories remains committed to providing cannabis companies with the tools and data they need to produce better cannabis products and comply with changing regulations. Our commitment to achieving relevant, third-party, accreditations at our facilities underscores our mission to prioritize quality control and integrity of our test results. This announcement comes as we continue to expand our Santa Cruz and Southern California laboratories, as well as add multiple field offices throughout the state of California in an effort to keep up with industry growth and better serve our clientele.
